How To Win The Game of Life

Life isn’t really a game, but there are times when it can be useful to look at it that way. How you play the game is just as important as how well you perform in it. The two are related. Your experience of a game is shaped by the standards you play it with just like your experience of life is shaped by the standards you live it with.

When you look through the lens of the game of life, what qualities and standards put you on a path to “win”? Winning in this context refers to being the person you strive to be, creating the results you aim to create, and having the impact on others you want to have.

Things like . . .

  • Who can be the kindest?
  • Who can live with the most joy?
  • Who can love the fullest?
  • Who can create the most value?
  • Who can encourage the most?
  • Who can focus the best?

The game of life isn’t a true competition. It’s not you vs anyone else. It’s definitely not you vs you. Why would you put yourself against yourself?

Instead, it’s you setting the standards you want to live by, working to stay in alignment with the best version of yourself, and adjusting as you go to improve on it across all the stages of your life.

Everything is training for something. Do the work.
