We’re strong, not fragile.

Some people insist that we remove pain, criticism, failure, disappointment, rejection, and loss from people’s lives. As if these were made-up inventions within our control.

But we didn’t invent them. We didn’t make them up. Despite the misguided efforts of a fragile section of society, we don’t have the option to eliminate these experiences. Life gives them to us. In many ways, they are life.

We only get to decide what to do with them.

We won’t improve our lives by eliminating pain, criticism, failure, disappointment, rejection, and loss. Instead, we improve our lives by forming the strength and discipline to convert these experiences into value.

Turn agonizing pain into effort.
Turn harsh criticism into improvement.
Turn bitter failure into strength.
Turn crushing disappointment into resilience.
Turn devastating rejection into patience.
Turn heartbreaking loss into gratitude.

You are not fragile. You are strong. Use that strength to turn the things that could break you into the things that make you.

The time is now. Do the work.
