How can you Embrace the Chase to build an elite mindset so it’s available any time you want?

An elite mindset selectively focuses on high-priority, high-value things, quickly discards low-priority, low-value things, and unapologetically ignores no value things.

Place anything that takes up attention, time or energy in your mind into one of these categories.

  1. High-priority, High-value: Focus intensely on the stuff that fits here. Use most of your time on it. Work on it. Sacrifice other things to get more focus, time, and work into this. Enjoy it.
    • Things like who you are, the standards you live, the impact you have, and what you think of yourself.
  2. Low-priority, Low-value: When you become aware of these things, acknowledge them and move on. Appreciate, but don’t hesitate to discard them after the moment passes. Use little time wondering or worrying. Don’t allow them to rent or own real estate in your mind. Never sacrifice something high-priority, high-value for this.
    • Things like fitting in with co-workers complaining, anyone’s opinion about the US President (now or ever), and your spouse’s passive aggressive doubt you’ll follow through on your diet.
  3. No value: Avoid, ignore, or eliminate. Avoid it when you can, ignore it when you need to, eliminate it if you have to.
    • Things like people who drag you down, what a celebrity says or does, and most opinions about you, especially from people you don’t know and don’t know you.

An average mindset is usually identified by focusing on and giving priority to low or no value things. What does it say about me if I fail? What will this person or that person think? What would keep me from being criticized?

An elite mindset is usually identified by a fierce focus and relentless commitment to the things that serve them, their standards, and their mission. Matched with an uncommon willingness to avoid or ignore almost everything else.

Does it always work like this? Yes and no. It’s another plain sight secret. I’ll explain tomorrow.

Embrace the chase. Do the work.
