Belief - Day 2: Foundational or situational?

Every belief you choose is measured by your commitment to it during inconvenient situations. No matter what beliefs you choose, they will meet moments where the cost of living them exacts a very real price. Foundational beliefs like that are worth the price they cost. Situational beliefs change depending on what is popular, what avoids conflict, what gets you accepted, and what you feel like in the moment.

Foundational honesty and situational honesty create drastically different behavior patterns. Same for empathy, inclusivity, attitude, and collaboration. These things cannot be claimed and called upon when they are convenient and set aside when they’re not.

Foundational beliefs do not waver when the price is high. Situational beliefs are easily dropped when they’re inconvenient.

Do the work.
