Celebrate your freedom to choose

As many of you celebrate freedom today, remember: you’re free to choose your response to any event.

Four E+R=O principles for this 4th of July:

1. An ideal event does not dictate an ideal outcome, just as a non-ideal event does not dictate a non-ideal outcome. It’s your response that dictates the outcome, not the event.
2. Just because you can’t change a certain outcome doesn’t mean you can’t change the outcomes around it.
3. A disciplined response doesn’t guarantee the outcome you want. But it gives you the best shot at earning it.
4. Some people wait for better events. Other people build better responses. Guess who wins?

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
