Does excellence require expertise?

Yesterday, I highlighted that the demand for excellence always exceeds the supply. And I encouraged you to supply it. People will notice and reward it.

Not everyone, not everywhere, not immediately. But excellence shines through. If you stay the course, your excellence will deliver worthy rewards. Trust that.

But a word of caution:

Don’t confuse expertise with excellence. Expertise is concerned with status, knowledge, and experience. Excellence is concerned with standards, production, and impact.

Excellence without expertise is still productive. Expertise without excellence is an empty vessel.

Choose excellence over expertise every time.

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
