How do you pay for understanding and closure?

One way to reframe vulnerability is to view it as a currency.

It can be helpful, even fun, to think of vulnerability as your ticket into a meaningful arena. Rather than think of vulnerability as some big risk, think of it as the currency that pays your price of entry to access the place where real progress happens and breakthroughs occur.

You use actual currency to access things of value to you. You pay for essentials like food, transportation, and shelter. You pay for enhancements like cell phones, computers, and internet. You pay for entertainment like television, streaming services, and music. You pay for improvements like school, books, and training.

Vulnerability is another form of currency.

Only it doesn't pay for food, computers, Netflix, or books. Instead, it pays for things that cash and credit cards can't buy: clarity, connection, trust, love, empathy, understanding, resolution, forgiveness, respect, closure, confidence, fulfillment, and growth.

These things aren't free, but no amount of money can buy them.

They are paid, in part, by your willingness to get vulnerable enough to access the arena where they take place.

The time is now. Do the work.
