Friends are never perfect, but they care and that is more than we get from other places. Our friends see us in ways we don’t see ourselves. That puts them in a unique position to share hard to see truths. 

Anyone unwilling to hear the truth from a friend is not as strong as they present themselves. Don’t let ego and insecurity override your judgment.
