Some aspects of life are simple in unexpected ways.
Life is harder when you avoid hard things,scarier when you avoid scary things,more painful when you avoid painful things,more confusing when you avoid confusing things,more uncomfortable when you avoid uncomfortable things.
This isn’t all that increases as a consequence of avoidance. Problems, conflicts, and sacrifices belong on this list too.
The answer is not to immerse yourself in pain, discomfort, or problems but to engage in them with strategic and productive discipline. Process the pain. Embrace the discomfort. Work on the problems.
Don’t get caught in a behavior pattern of trying so hard to avoid something that you unintentionally create more of it.
