Let’s start at square one

Wanting things faster and easier isn’t entitlement. That’s human nature in all of us. Entitlement is believing you have a right to something, that you inherently deserve it.

 

The basics of this are easy, but they quickly get misunderstood. You’re entitled to free speech, but not free consequences. You’re entitled to pursue happiness, but not to have it. You’re entitled to be paid for your job, but not to have that specific job. You’re entitled to have an opinion, but not to be respected for it.

 

Entitlement is what you believe you have a right to, regardless of how you do it. Responsibility is what you believe you have to earn through the quality of your actions.

 

Embrace the chase. Do the work.
