The most important secrets aren’t private, reserved for a privileged few. They’re secrets hiding in plain sight, available to anyone who looks. Let’s call them plain sight secrets. They don’t really hide. They’re just so obvious that people overlook them.

For example: becoming elite in your profession, role, or skill.

Most people never make a serious attempt to be elite. They think about it. They talk about it. They plan for it. But they never really try.

For true competitors, it’s a plain sight secret: few people compete at the elite standard or in pursuit of it. The biggest mass of people compete at the average standard or to maintain an existing habit. Which means there’s open and available opportunity for anyone willing to do what it takes to reach elite.

How can that be? Is it really this obvious and this misunderstood by so many people? Yes. The answers are usually simple and always personal.

Let’s start that discussion tomorrow.

Do the work.
