The risk of failure is always present.
If you try, you might fail. If you don’t try, you will fail. If you’re unprepared, you could fail. If you’re well prepared, you can still fail. Victory is never guaranteed. There is always a risk of failure, no matter how confident or nervous you are.
Being alive exposes you to risk. But it’s not risk that matters as much as your mindset and response to it.
You can use the risk of failure to justify any action you want. You can use it to spark better effort or justify lack of effort. You can make it the reason you go all-in or the reason you never try. You can make it the reason you hide the truth or the reason you reveal it.
Risk is relative, depending on your circumstance, and subjective, depending on what you tell yourself about it. Your response to risk does not begin with the action you take. It begins with what you see, how you see it, and what you tell yourself about it.
The risk of failure is always present, but risk is what you decide it is and fuels the action you want it to fuel.
Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
