It’s Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S. A wonderful day to refuel on more than your favorite foods. You don’t have to live here or celebrate the holiday to be thankful. Be thankful, not because of the day, but because you see what you have to be thankful for.
Today I am refueling myself:
I am thankful for each person I have loved and lost—that I had the experience of loving them and being loved by them.
I am thankful for each person still here—that I get to experience loving them and being loved by them a while longer.
I am thankful for the seen and unseen people who did something for my benefit, whether they knew it or not.
I am thankful for the power to give purpose to my actions and mold my existence into something that outlives me.
I am thankful for every test I passed that proved I am capable of more than I know.
I am thankful for every test I failed that proved I have more to learn.
Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
