Emotions are your ally, not your enemy.
Creating and using emotions that feed intentional action is a much better strategy than attempting to contain and avoid emotions. Treat emotions as tools to be used rather than faults to be fixed.

Focus on building the right relationship with your emotions.
Most things aren’t good or bad. It’s our relationship with things that makes them better or worse for our lives. Money is an easy example of this. Same with emotions. Over-attachment leads to a fragile dependence. Over-detachment leads to a dangerous ignorance.

Investigate what you a strong emotion wants from you.
Practice listening and learning what your emotions are saying to you, asking of you, and wanting from you. As in any relationship, you don’t need to obey their command but it helps when you listen and understand.

Embrace the chase. Do the work.
