A Different Kind of Immunity

A person who basks in praise will be crippled by criticism. A person who relies on the praise of others to feel fulfilled will feel empty when the cheering stops. A person who absorbs praise as a reflection of their worth will do the same with criticism.

Praise and criticism are both rooted in the opinions of others. Don’t ever let external opinions, whether it’s people telling you how good you are or how bad you are, replace internal discipline and purpose.

Everything is training for something. Do the work.
