As you take on your 7-day adventure, notice how quickly or slowly you respond with discipline when facing each challenge.
Observe whether you talk yourself out of or into disciplined actions. Pay attention to how often you delay doing what discipline requires. Identify the justifications you use to let yourself off the hook. Recognize how much mental energy you waste negotiating with yourself.
My challenge to you this week is specifically worded: meet every challenge, no matter how small, with decisive discipline. Not reluctant discipline. Not doubtful discipline. Not eventual discipline. Decisive discipline.
Focus on reducing the time it takes you to act with discipline. Eliminate internal debate. Clear your mental clutter and simplify: feel the challenge, respond with discipline. Condition yourself like one of Pavlov's dogs.
Be decisive. Make the disciplined choice and act immediately. No hesitation. No negotiation.
When the challenge hits, hit back with decisive discipline.
Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
