Create excellence where you are

Excellence is not a natural state. In many ways excellence is uncommon specifically because it is unnatural. Comfort, convenience, and ease are instinctive and feel more reasonable. Excellence has to be created by your choices and actions.

Excellence is created in the moment, the one you’re in and the one you’re stepping into. That’s all you have and all you get. Create excellence in this moment.

Defining excellence is up to you. Observing and learning from people you respect can be valuable, but don’t let it set your definition. I have to define excellence for me and you have to define excellence for you. Then we are responsible for creating it.
