There’s only one thing stronger than a person acting from commitment to a clear purpose. A group of aligned people acting from commitment to a shared purpose.
As King Leonidas of Sparta prepared to meet Xerxes' army at the battle of Thermopylae (Greek for “hot gates”) in 480 BC, Persian soldiers outnumbered Spartans 1000-to-1. Someone asked Leonidas why he took such a risk with so few against so many.
He said, “If you think that I should rely on numbers, then not even the whole of Greece is enough, since it is a small fraction of their horde; but if I am to rely on courage, then even this number is quite adequate.”
You can practice and use E+R=O on your own. It will serve you well. You will be better because of it. But when you find or create a group of aligned people who share purpose and commitment to excellence with E+R=O, you are tapping into the most powerful force in the world.
Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
