There’s a profound difference between being disciplined in order to avoid punishment, and being disciplined to pursue purpose.

Too often leaders of young people operate exclusively on the punishment side of discipline and don’t  teach kids about the role of discipline in fulfilling their purpose.

When people are primarily making decisions to avoid punishment, they cannot also pursue purpose.

The time is now. Do the work.
