Ego is an anchor

How much could you accomplish if you had not ego to protect? What would you try freely if you had no image to uphold?

Internal fear does more to slow us down than any external adversity. Fear of failure, embarrassment, looking bad, not being like, loss of status, and loss of position. Even when fear is well founded, which it usually isn’t, it’s not a reason to delay and avoid. False fears need extinguished. Real fears need addressed.

The situations you’re in and problems you face require less ego and more strategic thinking. Use 10 minutes each night, alone in silence without electronics or note taking, to detach from your ego and your issues. Consider what you actually want, whether that’s a worthy goal, and how to pursue it without the anchor of your ego to serve.

Embrace the chase. Do the work.
