Focus and filter. Rinse and repeat.

Be aggressive in pursuit of your priorities. Not combative. Collaborative. Not tyrannical. Considerate. Not overbearing. Patient. Be aggressive about the clarity and priority of the outcomes you want.

You want a great marriage? Create it. You want to feel better about your body? Prioritize it. You want to be a champion? Make it happen.

They’re not guarantees. They’re opportunities. You have to make them happen.

Within the E+R=O system, staying outcome anchored means two things:

  1. The daily events you experience are not going to give you the outcomes you want in the most important areas of your life. Most people anchor on events and dwell on them.
  2. Clarify the outcomes you want before events happen. Anchoring on outcomes gives you a priority filter and keeps you focused when events might distract you.

Be aware of events, but stay anchored on outcomes.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
