Focusing daily energy with purpose and skill

Ok, back to where we started the week. What struck me about the feedback of experiences from Tuesday’s message on being disciplined for 12 months is how often complexity is what undermines well intended commitments.

(I’m going to list out the major themes I observed from your feedback in tomorrow’s email. Don’t miss that. It’s a life-changing list. Set a reminder. Seriously.)

Complexity kills execution. Simplicity accelerates it.
Simplicity is doable. Complexity is confusing.

Put no energy into being disciplined for 30 days, 10 weeks, or 12 months. That’s complex. It’s clear from your feedback that it hasn’t helped and doesn’t work. Put all your energy into being disciplined today, right now, on only a few doable things that are the highest priority.

All you need is daily discipline. Not monthly. Not yearly. Daily. Everything takes care of itself from there.

Embrace the chase. Do the work.

PS - Tomorrow, along with my list of “sustaining” discipline observation, I’ll show you how to use the simple daily DO/DON’T list to drive daily action with a 12-18 hour max focus.
