Everyone is entitled to an opinion, right?
Yes, but not everyone is entitled to credibility.
If you operate by the standards of the majority you’ll focus on things that don’t need your opinions. Things beyond your control, beyond your influence, beyond your understanding, which means beyond your credibility.
It’s not that you can’t have an opinion. It’s that your opinion isn’t relevant or necessary. If it doesn’t serve your life, if you’re looking from the outside in, why use emotional energy to form a strong opinion? I see a lot of people forming deeply held opinions on things far beyond their own lives.
That’s a trap and a dangerous one. Don’t get distracted from your own life because you’re focused on your opinions of someone else. Focus on you. Keep your opinions limited to what’s relevant, what you understand, and where you’re credible.
Embrace the chase. Do the work.
