Get it done slow (if you must)

Sometimes, it doesn't matter when you get it done. It only matters that you get it done. It doesn't matter how fast you get there. It matters that you get there.

We sometimes create false timelines, deadlines, and expectations for speed of progress with our goals. We attach our efforts to timelines when none exist or matter. We made them up in our minds.

Why is this important to understand?

Because when you feel like you're not making progress fast enough or missing deadlines, you tend to get disappointed and lower your effort. You lose sight of the priority. Achieving the goal is a higher priority than when you achieve it.

Separate between goals that have success/failure deadlines and goals that don't. Separate between objectives that depend on speed of progress and objectives that don't.

Your responsibility is to get it done even when it takes longer than you want. Even when the path doesn't go the way you want. Even when there is more adversity than you thought. Even when it's harder than you thought.

If it's important, do the work to get it done. However long it takes. However slow the progress. Get it done.

Brick by brick. Do the work.
