We all love when we can comfortably live what we believe. Living our values is easy when doing so goes unchallenged by the world around us or the impulses within us.
Eventually, we encounter fear, doubts, facts, and experiences that make staying true to our beliefs uncomfortable and living our principles difficult. We feel direct tension between staying true to a principle we believe in and maintaining our personal comfort.
That's the testing point: when your beliefs and principles conflict with your comfort and convenience.
When acting on your beliefs comes into conflict with your personal comfort, you will discard your beliefs to preserve your comfort or discard your comfort to stay true to your beliefs.
The conflict between principles and comfort is unavoidable. All you get to decide is what you'll discard and what you'll protect -- your comfort or your principles.
The time is now. Do the work.
