Hard decisions are supposed to be hard. Difficult tasks are supposed to be difficult. They aren’t supposed to be easy. They aren’t supposed to feel comforting and assured. They will be the way they are. You need to decide who you will be when you meet them.

Problems begin you want hard decisions to be easier, when you want difficult tasks to be more comfortable and certain.

The reason you do the work is to meet hard decisions with courage and confidence. The reason you embrace the chase is to tackle difficult tasks with disciplined skill.

When it’s hard and you’re uncertain, you need to choose who you’ll be. When it’s difficult and you’re uncomfortable, you need to become who you are.

Embrace the chase. Do the work.
