One feeling. Three options.

You’re always in an emotional state. What does that mean? It means you always feel a certain way. You can fundamentally do three things with how you feel.

  1. Follow the feeling and act on it.
  2. Recognize the feeling but adjust the action.
  3. Override the feeling and act despite it.

Self-awareness is knowing what you’re feeling. Self-discipline is deciding what to do with it.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
