Raising your standards doesn’t necessarily indicate a problem. It suggests a healthy need.

Raising your standards indicates you’ve set them too low, allowed them to deteriorate, or outgrown specific standards because you’ve matured, evolved, or risen to a level that requires higher standards.

So what if you don’t raise your standards?

Not raising your standards signals you’re on autopilot and possibly in decline. I understand that may not be comfortable to hear. I’d rather make you uncomfortable with the truth than comfort you with a lie.

Raising your standards is not a judgment of your character or performance. It’s recognition that you can do better. It’s a recognition that your standards matter. They make a difference to your impact in the world, including on yourself.

Raising your standards shows you care about yourself, your life, and your purpose.

The time is now. Do the work.
