You can think of training as a task. Part of your to do list. Something that has to get done. But I haven’t observed or experienced that to be particularly effective. It quickly becomes a burden. One you’d rather not carry but feel guilty when you don’t.
Instead think of training as what you’re already doing. Only now you’re going to look at each thing you do not only as an act in the moment but an investment in your future. Maximize the immediate impact. Recognize the future impact.
Everything is training for something. Do the work.
