Sometimes you fight your own beliefs

How often do you think about what's possible for you? A goal. A dream. A lifestyle. A picture in your mind. How often do you think about the pathways that could take you there?

You don't feel much stress when they're casual thoughts in your mind. It's imagination. It's not real. It's ideas and daydreams. This kind of thinking is fun.

Everything changes once the pathways start to feel viable and real. Deeper beliefs begin to reveal themselves. The more clear the picture, the more your beliefs come out of the shadows and assert their opinions.

Your beliefs start to share stronger opinions on what's possible, what's probable, what's scary, what's risky, and most especially -- what you're capable of. What was fun to think about becomes intimidating because your beliefs present doubts. And it doesn't stop there.

Your beliefs intensify once you start to act. And again, when you meet resistance. And again, when you must endure. And again, when you feel the weight of expectations. And again, when you make a mistake. And again, when you experience failure. And again, when you experience success.

It's one thing to consider what is possible for you and the pathways that could take you there. But stepping into the reality of it brings you face-to-face with beliefs you must work through if you're going to make it happen.

Brick by brick. Do the work.
