Your phone buzzes. You see “NATIONAL EMERGENCY” flash across the screen. You tap the alert and read:
“World leaders, authorities, and scientists have confirmed that Earth’s resources will run out in 60-100 years. Beyond that, Earth will not be able to sustain life. There is no immediate threat. You are not in imminent danger. But in 60-100 years, life on Earth will end.”
How would you feel? What would you think about? What would you do?
What do you think other people would feel, think, and do?
I watched people in a busy airport while considering this. Families on vacation. Business travelers (like me). Shop workers. People sweeping floors. People scrolling phones.
I wondered how many people would live exactly as they are now if they knew they had 60 years left on Earth.
Then it hit me. I’m already living this. My life will end in roughly the same timeframe.
It’s not a national emergency. It’s a life reality. Our time here is not expanding. It is compressing. We count up. Life counts down. But we are tethered to the same final fate, just on different timelines.
So here’s a personal alert:
“Your life will end in 30-80 years. There is no immediate threat. You are not in imminent danger. But your time is counting down.”
The alert has been sent. How will you respond in your remaining years?
Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
