Choices either speed you up or slow you down. And it can be a struggle to stay self-aware of which choices create each effect.

Think of it like driving a car. You can press the gas pedal or the brake. That’s what choices do in life.

Courage is the gas.
Fear is the brake.

Honesty is the gas.
Denial is the brake.

Simplicity is the gas.
Complexity is the brake.

Focus is the gas.
Distraction is the brake.

Responsibility is the gas.
Complaining is the brake.

Discipline is the gas.
Avoidance is the brake.

You control your choices. That means you control whether you are pushing the gas pedal on your mission, or the brake.

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
