What do you think you are?

You are not what you think you are.

You have an image of yourself. A way you see yourself in your mind. But that’s not what you are. That’s what you think you are.

Your thoughts often deceive you. They imagine and invent, believe and doubt, assume and project.

You are not what you think. You are what you do. You are not what you imagine. You are what you make real. Thinking and imagining can move you to make it real, but only if it turns into actions that define you.

I’ve told you before and I’ll tell you again: good intentions are not enough

Thinking you are kind or patient or tough doesn’t make it true. To be kind, patient or tough, kindness, patience, or toughness must live in your actions, not your image of yourself. The same goes for anything you think of yourself.

Intentions without actions are empty. Thinking it about yourself doesn’t make it true. For it to be true, you have to do it.

Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
