The decisions you make determine the life you live. That’s obvious. Less obvious is how those decisions also create your unlived lives. Lives that were possible but never activated.
You will only live one version of your life. You are still determining which version that will be. No matter what life you end up living, you will sometimes reflect on those lives you might have lived.
The life you’re choosing carries more meaning than what you experience. This life is the measure by which you compare all your unlived lives. It carries the weight of every other version of your life standing aside or dying away so you can live this one.
This life deserves your excellence. It’s the one you’ve chosen. It’s the one you’re still choosing. You have forsaken all your other possible lives for this one.
