What if someone I care about is headed down the wrong path?

We can’t fix each other. People have to be ready to let in, whatever it is, for their reasons and do the work themselves. We can control ourselves and help each other.

No matter how hard we try, how much we say, and how strongly we feel, we can’t fix anyone else to fit what we think is best for them. We can only give them tools to make their own choices, guidance to take their own path, and freedom to make their own mistakes.

Stay consistent, not controlling. Keep standards, not score. Show empathy, not anger. See possibility, not problems.

Do the work.
