Why do we need standards?

A standard exists because you won't always feel like it. It exists specifically for the moments you don't want to do it. 

We are either governed by our feelings in the moment or by our standards. 

Without that feeling, the standard wouldn't be necessary. Without the standard, the feeling of the moment has control. 

The time is now. Do the work.
