Best Practices = Average Results

Exceptional results don’t come from “best practices”. Follow best practices only if you want to get started with something you’re unfamiliar with or if you want average results.

Best practices are what the majority do, and the majority don’t produce exceptional results. The majority are average and get average results.

Exceptional results come from uncommon practices — practices that are the exception to the norm, uncommon among the majority.

Do what the majority do, and two things will happen:

  1. You blend yourself into the majority and settle into the mountain of average.
  2. You get what the majority gets.

Brick by brick. Do the work.
