Do it for your “team”.

Just because you don’t BCD (Blame, Complain, Defend) doesn’t mean you act like everything is fine. Some things aren’t fine. They’re broken, flawed, dysfunctional, or unfair. BCD isn’t going to fix that.

These things need to be identified, understood, and addressed. And if solutions aren’t possible, then identify, understand, and address how you’re going to operate in a situation you can’t fix. BCD is not an option.

The purpose for eliminating BCD is focused on three things: 

  1. See the situation more clearly, not a filtered version.
  2. Embrace responsibility, don’t avoid it.
  3. Spread encouragement, not discouragement

Can you do that? Will you do that?

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
