E+R=O: Getting better doesn’t mean it gets easier.

Here's a helpful mindset while you're in the early stages of improvement (link to “1-2-3 stages of change” post): let go of any desire for it to feel natural. It's unlikely to ever feel that way, and if it ever does, consider yourself fortunate. Don't aim for that and definitely don't count on it.

You will get better, it will get easier eventually, it will be smoother, but it probably won't ever feel natural. That's a good thing. It keeps you sharp and never let's you get deceived by a comfort that doesn't really exist.

Do The Work.
