Fill The Gaps In Your Life

Now that you have a list of meaningful areas where your discipline is not great, the first thing to decide is how you’re going to look at this list and how you’re going to think about it.

I encourage you to see all the opportunities on your list rather than any frustrations. There is so much to gain on that list. Progress to make. Impact to have. Growth to discover.

Each thing on your list reflects something in your power to do. Each thing on your list would add value to your life with a little more discipline. Each thing on your list is connected, in some way, to your purpose.

Look at your list.

This is you trying to tell yourself what really matters to you. It’s not a burden. It’s a gust of wind into your sails. Your list isn’t even that difficult. If it feels that way it’s because you’re telling yourself that story. Think about it differently and the feeling will change.

See your list as a reminder about who you want to be and are capable of being. Think of it as a reclarification of your true, lasting priorities.

See your list as an affirmation that you do in fact have a lot left to offer. Think of this as all the opportunities still ahead of you to make incredible progress, do incredible things, and have incredible impact.

Everything is training for something. Do the work.
