You can’t learn to swim from outside the water. It doesn’t matter what you know, who teaches you, or what techniques you analyze. If you want to learn how to swim, you have to get in the water.
Life is the same.
You can think.
You can dream.
You can believe.
You can want.
You can wish.
You can expect.
You can read and read and read,
and study and study and study,
and plan and plan and plan,
but you won’t learn
or make progress
until you do and do and do.
The sea of life gets cold, deep, dark, rough, and vast.
Get in the water. Or sit on the shore with the other sad souls, gazing out at the sea, thinking about what could have been if they’d ever learned to swim.
Event + Response = Outcome. Do the work.
