Growth gets messy. Especially in relationships.

Relationships evolve naturally, but that evolution can break a bond as easily as it can build one. People change and so do priorities. Be prepared to work with endurance on connections you want to last.

Time doesn’t improve relationships. It increases the odds of a breakdown. Patterns work for a while, until enough variables shift that the same patterns produce less and less payoff. Enduring relationships are built on constant shifts in effort and understanding through changing dynamics.

Over the long run, every relationship’s evolution seems obvious and inevitable. In the moment, it can feel uncertain and sometimes unnecessary. If it’s a relationship of value, endure the awkward transitions with perspective, patience, and persistence.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
