It always starts with self-awareness.

Ok, you read yesterday’s email and committed to observe your choices, actions, impact, and patterns. To execute the obvious, it helps to see it first.

Where do you start? For meaningful understanding, consider reverse-engineering your observations. Start with your patterns.

The objective is to gain an obvious understanding of where your behavior patterns are taking you and whether that’s where you want to go. Lack of self-awareness will crush you before lack of self-control will.

Keep it simple. Keep it obvious. Every behavior is part of a pattern. Every pattern has you on a trajectory. Decide whether to stay steady on that trajectory, accelerate into it, or change it to go somewhere better.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.

Watch: what's the cost of average leadership?
