Many of you reading this are leaders in your professional lives. All of you reading this have a chance to be leaders in your personal lives. As a reader and subscriber of this email, you are part of a special group that aims at a higher standard. Yes, you’re here in part for yourself. You’re also here because of the impact you have on others. I love that about you.
We will not be the kind of people who point out lack of leadership from others without leading bravely ourselves. That’s not who we are. That’s not who we want to be. If we’re unwilling to lead, we’re slow and humble in our judgment of those who are. We don’t need to add to criticism. There’s enough. That’s not what we’re here to contribute.
Our value, your value, is contributing more brave leadership when and where we can. In our schools. In our companies. In our communities. In our social circles. And in our families.
