When you slow down to open your heart and mind to genuinely listen, it makes a huge difference. The problem is when it takes you too long to do that.

Listening late creates unnecessary conflict. Current energy ends up being used to debate and recover from past disconnects before you can move forward. This is avoidable through simple choices and basic actions.

The earlier you listen, the better you understand from the start. There’s less space for misinterpretation that leads to disruptive emotions that disconnect people.

Listen early. Listen well. Start from clear understanding, not subjective interpretation. Eventually listening is better than never listening, but listening early is always best.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
