Stay true to you, let others be true to themselves

Believing deeply doesn’t make something more true, just like feeling strongly doesn’t make something more accurate. It makes it more important to you. It makes you more committed to it. Truth and accuracy exist apart from our beliefs and feelings.

Someone else believes deeply and feels strongly, but differently than you. It’s important to them and they are committed to it.

Don’t confuse a personal preference for a universal truth, no matter how much you want it to be different or others want you to be different.
