Talented by nature. Disciplined by choice.

Natural talent with insufficient training and discipline lacks the refinement to deliver sustained or enduring excellence. Top-end talent can produce a flash of excellence, but only for a fleeting moment.

Without proper training, natural talent eventually gets overpowered by the dynamics of the environment. Dynamics like context, timing, volatility, evolution, unfamiliar elements, sudden change, superior strategies, or more talented or skillful people.

Natural talent is powerful, but excellence demands the refinement of talent and the significant addition of abilities and skills not in your possession by nature.

The time is now. Do the work.
