No BCD (Blaming, Complaining, Defensiveness) has gained a large following, not just in Focus 3 clients, but in people and organizations that have rallied to the call. It is has become an anthem for teams and lifelong motto for thousands of people around the world. It seems to gain momentum every day, and for that we are appreciative and excited. It can and does change the world one person at a time. The Truth About BCD

As popular as the “No BCD” lifestyle has become, it is still somewhat misunderstood, or more specifically, incomplete. People tend to focus on the complaining element of the BCD trio, and forget to eliminate blaming and defensiveness. It’s great to cut out complaining, but blaming others and getting defensive are equally negative in their impact.

Each element of BCD has a real and direct consequence:

  • Blaming indicates you are irresponsible and untrustworthy.
  • Complaining makes you inefficient and unenjoyable.
  • Defensiveness reveals your ego and your weakness.

No BCD means no blaming, no complaining, and no defensiveness. The decision is an easy one: eliminate them immediately, completely, and forever.
