Transforming expectations.

Speed is a powerful currency. Faster, sooner, easier. That’s the promise of the modern world. The more people are surrounded by that promise the more they expect it. Not just in some things but in all things. Perspective vanishes. Patience shrinks. An unmet expectation of speed suddenly feels like a violation.

The promise of the modern world still operates within the structure of the natural world. Instant gratification is a powerful currency but it’s not the only one and is far from the most important one.

Faster has value. So does slower.
Sooner can benefit. So can later.
Easier is valuable. So is harder.

Discipline is the shortcut. Do the work.
