Attack and eliminate this popular excuse

Every pursuit requires decisions. Every circumstance presents choices. It’s convenient to blame luck or events for the failure of an effort, even though the actual cause of failure was choices, not fate.

Your decisions, and the discipline of the action behind them, must meet the requirements of the objectives you’re aiming to accomplish.

If you attempt to run a marathon without preparation, you wouldn’t call it bad luck when your legs gave out, and you didn’t finish.

If you water the ground diligently but never plant seeds, you wouldn’t blame misfortune when a tree never grew tall to provide fruit and shade.

If you stalked a lion with a squirt gun, you wouldn’t blame a cruel twist of fate for an unsuccessful hunt.

Yet how often do you make undisciplined choices and bring weak discipline to a pursuit, then blame some other factor when that pursuit is unsuccessful?

It’s not your circumstances. It’s not your luck. It’s your choices.

The time is now. Do the work.
